Looks like we will be losing another tower crane soon. Large mobile crane getting setup beside the north tower which will likely take down the north tower crane in the next few days. Should see most of the current tower cranes in the core removed in the following months leaving only Centro north tower crane and the two cranes on the SOHO project.

Forming now going up for the mechanical penthouse walls on the 23s south tower as the roof slab pour appears to be wrapping up. Sadly there has been no progress installing any of the windows and balcony doors higher then the 6th floor in weeks. They must be having some serious issues with their window and door supplier. Very slow progress with the masonry contractor installing the south side exterior brick on the podium base as well.

Almost done with the pours for the mechanical penthouse walls on the south 23s building. They have also nearly finished the installation of the stone and brick on the south wall of the podium base. They must have got another delivery of glass curtain wall and windows as they have started installing some of the 7th floor now.

Have made good progress on installing the brick exterior on the east wall of the SE corner podium base. Still working on the south tower penthouse roof features and likely still a week or two away from lifting the HVAC chiller unit to the rooftop.

They have now lifted and installed the HVAC chiller unit on the rooftop of the 23s south tower. They have closed down Colborne St on the east side and are setting up a heavy duty mobile crane in order to disassemble the tower crane. Yet another tower crane in London coming down. They have started installing some of the glass wall and window units on the 9th floor which means they are nearly done with the glass on the 8s podium base of both towers.

The heavy lift mobile crane is now assembled with the help of a smaller mobile crane and parked on the street on the east side. Should see the tower crane start being disassembled tomorrow. The masonry contractor has started working on the north side of the podium base. The glass curtain wall windows and balcony door units are now being installed on the 9th floor level of both towers.

The tower crane for the south 23s tower is now removed. The heavy lift mobile crane was being disassembled today. Tower cranes in London are fast disappearing with the next one to go likely Old Oaks 40s Centro south tower followed closely by the tower crane at their 13s St James building.

With this major milestone for Medallion they are probably 6 months away from seeing the first tenants in this SOHO area development. The next question is what will happen to the block immediately west of Medallions towers? Does the city still own that land or have they sold it off and if so to whom? Would love to see more high rise towers west along South Street towards Wellington Rd.

It was supposed to be a now-completed $200-million 2 towers approx 25 stories each tall of a residential/"medical" complex featuring specialists in naturopathy, genetic, nutrition and plastic surgery.

Remember Fincore? The financial planning and investment house headed by a Romanian with a doctorate in French literature was going to be the developer, whose financial planners "apply energy, purpose and intent to help bring your big thoughts into reality" (whatever that means), and prominently quoted Deepak Chopra on their business website.

The mayor of the time Joe Fontana boasted it an example of big developments his leadership was attracting. We all know how well Fontana's mayorship ended, and with this land parcel remaining empty other than some homeless people near the river 10 years later, both are a reflection of some dark times. The incompetent and corrupt mayor and a version of the monorail salesperson coming to town to sell an amazing project.

That Fincore proposal was never going to happen. Hopefully the City is working to find a buyer for the block of land they own immediately to the west for the next set of high rise towers to be built. Also it would be great if a developer purchased the remaining properties all the way west to Wellington and build some more high rise mixed use developments including a grocery store that butts up against Wellington. When the bridge is widened in a few years and the BRT work is complete the stretch of Wellington between the bridge and Horton is prime candidate for redevelopment with high rise residential towers and not the arbitrary height limited 16s nonsense of the London Plan.

Nearly done installing the window and balcony door modules on the 11th floor now on both towers. Slowly making progress on the east side of the podium base for the 4s exterior brick and stone.

Have started installing the 13th floor windows and balcony door units in both the north and south towers. Exterior brick installs making steady progress on the east side of the 4s podium base.

They have started installing some of the 16th floor windows and balcony door units on the north tower. They have now started installing the exterior brick on the north side podium base as the east side is now finished.

Drywall already well underway on the lower floors of the north tower as they are also making progress installing the window and balcony door units on the 16th floor. Still zero signs of any activity on the heritage building renovations on the corner.

Have started the install of the windows on the 19th and final floor of the north tower and they are finishing up the exterior brick on the north side of the 4s podium base. The 23s south tower already has most of the 20 floor windows installed now as well.

Only the 23th floor window and balcony door units left to install on the south tower. A lot of progress can be seen with the drywall installs in the south tower upto at least the 15th floor. The 19s north tower now has all the window and balcony units installed. All the exterior brick on the 4s podium base is now installed except the two strips where the exterior construction elevators are mounted. Still no signs of any work being done on the heritage building on the corner.

Finally the last bit of the 23rd floor windows have been installed on the south 23s tower. Still have not installed most of the balcony railings as of yet in either tower above the 4th floor level. Concrete finishing and painting has been progressing but still not complete. No signs of any prep work for the new south side roadway extension or the driveway entrance. Both exterior construction elevators are still setup. They have setup a trailer for leasing however but I suspect they are still a number of months away from being able to move in tenants.
