Oof, those panels are particularly ugly. It's odd they extend into the lightwells too, I'd imagine sticking with white panels would reflect more light into those interior facing rooms that have no view ... though maybe this reduces the need to power wash that space as regularly.

I hope so, that intersection could really use some love and those buildings are in pretty bad shape. I did notice that the original plans from a few years ago had a decent amount of glazing on that side that never materialized, so maybe the developer knows something is likely going up there sooner rather than later.
