Los Angeles has 35 built and u/c. Mississauga with 4 complete now and lapping LA in basically 10 years is loco.
The point is Canada is in a different gear now that rest of the Western Hemisphere - much more on par with Asia where large new urban centers pop up seemingly overnight.

The number of proposed buildings are mainly from rezoning exercises. They haven't progressed to that point that demonstrates serious interest to develop like sales, preleasing or an expiring development permit. To say if even half get built in a very short period is still extremely optimistic.
As I have hinted, Vaughan will surpass Mississauga for skyscrapers at some point in the future. It has a strategic advantage over Missy and, personally, a more cohesive downtown urban plan. And, coincidentally, Vaughan has around 100 proposed skyscrapers in the SSP database. Imagine if half of those get built in a very short period LOL.
