That's a great point. In the rendering a moment ago prior to your comments I was thinking accent lighting. I haven't seen the site up close for a while now.

Then again, who wouldn't want to break off Excaliburs sword every morning?

The renders of happy ppl sure give LA or Miami vibes... they need to tone it down a bit and show us a winter rendering for it to be belieavable for Ottawa!

Wait, there's no happy people in Ottawa? I see lots of happy people around, especially poolside in the summer. Why on earth would they render a closed for winter terrace covered in snow in ice??? LOL.

This project is really coming along and looking great! Image if they went like Zibi and did the white panelling all around? I love how the black tower portion weaves in the white squares. Really really cool look to it.

Some of the panel fitment is a little bit suspect though. It's not really that bad but also could have been a little bit better. We will probably be the only nerds to ever notice it though.

We still have that single white block sitting one over from where it needs to be though

No movement on excavation next door. They had some fly forms sitting there in the pit when I walked by. The second tower seems to be just about close to topped out so those forms are maybe getting taken away?

The taller tower looks really tall from the west. I was looking from the Civic parking garage today and, despite being 20+ metres shorter, it actually looks taller than PDV-C. The 3rd tower is going to look beastly from that angle as it is even closer than this one!

Took a quick photo today from the parking garage:

What I noticed:
- East Flats is a beast!
- The library makes a pretty good impact, even from this distance
- If Relevé looks this tall, I can't wait to see Renaissance at 20m taller! It might be the closest thing we see to a clump breaker for a very long time
- Dream towers are really going to connect Lebreton to CBD from this angle

Dream will have a huge impact. From this angle, they should both look significantly taller than anything else.

This one is from late March. Gives you an idea of what those protrusions will look like. Certainly some of the best balcony railings/treatment in Ottawa.
