New Mosque on the former site of The Pump had very slow progress over the winter, but steel is now being erected.

Regina considering six-storey housing in second phase of HAF changes
The new height limits would apply inside curated "intensification zones" outlined by the city, along main transit corridors across Regina.

A second round of proposed zoning changes has been presented to city council which would allow high-rise apartments along major urban corridors in Regina.
A six story apartment building is hardly a high-rise. It’s like a six story walk up. And there should be no height limit on any of these

Out-of-town lurker here, what's the mood on the HAF in Regina? Is it being well received by council and the public? Is the densification effort going smoothly down your way?

I expect there to be kicking and screaming in older neighbourhoods. A developer wanted to put a multistory building in Douglas Park and people from the neighbourhood had tantrums over it.

I think council will be mixed on it: dazzled by the federal dollars, but reluctant to allow density.

This seems to be a sensible compromise and way to move forward. A little something for everyone.

Speaking of heights and density the Bonusing That developers have to pay to go higher is the most sum thing the city has ever done. Whoever decided that it doesn’t make any sense like how du can these people be? Since this was implicated, not a single high range has been built They really need to give their heart a shake
Course this is for the down Town

They put an RFP out for consultants and are doing a capital campaign for both Regina and Prince Albert to have locations. Regina is 22 Beds I believe.

Looks like the Urgent Care Centre is complete. All the discussions around staffing aside, I will have to drive by to see what it looks like. I don't get a chance to go down that part of Albert Street often.

It's no architectural masterpiece but it is somewhat better than the former car lot it replaced.

I agree that it's better than the vacant car lot but I'm really not a fan of the random aluminum cladding pattern. It's similar to the Glencairn neighbourhood centre. Kinda reminds me of a shipping container or something.
