I don't bother with award ceremonies like the Oscars because it's so political and just BS.
And the BBHOF, which I've been to, has its dumb 🞵🞵🞵🞵 too, but not as bad. There has only been one unanimous electee, and that was recent in Mariano Rivera. That tells you all you need to know. There's always some jagoff, or a few, that watch an entire career of a 15x allstar and record holder and say no, I don't think he belongs in the HOF. Or there's "traditionalists" who say there has never been a unanimous electee and it's my duty to ensure that remains the case. Those MF'ers need to be kicked out. And a lot of them that are in the rather large pool of voters (Baseball Writers of America) stopped covering baseball decades ago. That's why I love what Dan LeBetard of ESPN did. He exposed the stupidity of it and he got kicked out of the BBWA and was no longer allowed to vote.
As for the RRHOF, I was there in Cleveland. When I saw the signs that said no photography, and the fact that its election process is so dumb and offputting, I decided to just check out and photograph the rather impressive lobby rather than go inside.
There are a bunch of bands in the RRHOF that people have never heard of. I'm sure they're fine, fine musicians. But what happened to the "fame" part? Meanwhile, there's a bunch more like the TGW who are not only amazing musicians, but are super famous. Just a complete joke.

The reason RUSH has not been inducted into the RRHOF is Jann Wenner. Wenner is co-founder and publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine as well as the co-founder of the RRHOF. Wenner and Rolling Stone have always rejected Progressive Rock as a genre. Wenner's distaste for Prog is well documented.
