Light snow overnight maybe 2 cm by Lunch but up to +2 today. This will help but we need some much more. Calgary apparently is getting hit harder.

Ski hills are loving this as well.

13 on Sunday.

Low of -1C (wind chill of -10) this morning. It could potentially be our last freeze until October/November.

The warmspot was Coronach, SK at 20.3C.

Warmest low was Sandheads and Osoyoos, BC at 6.6C.

From this morning (by this afternoon it was less as the melt had started).

I managed to avoid snowplowing, but by a hair (today was the only business day that was somewhat tricky -- it's all going to melt now).

Zero snowplowing this winter in Sherbrooke actually -- only once in the fall of 2023 and once in the spring of 2024. Between mid November and official spring, ZERO snowplowing required. Probably the first time ever that this has happened, at first sight.

5C and rainy. Still crappy. Snow is melting fast. Should be nothing left by tomorrow. Total snow over the 2 days was 26 cm. Some of it melted on contact so between 15-20 cm accumulation is correct.

It's funny... the 26 cm of snow was more than the entirety of February and March.

Low of 1C this morning.

The warmspot was Coronach, SK at 19.1C

Warmest low was Entrance Island, BC at 8.0C.

Great shots.

Coincidentally I was in that area today, and here's a photo I took.

Fully cloudy but it's thin in spots. New variegation on my lemon-lime philo, new monstera leaf coming, and neighbourhood cats watching pigeons.

Edit: And a new sign on the door of the drug den that's across from me. The guy who tried to break into my house at 3am is gone lol

After a grim wet overcast week in Toronto, I escaped to St Jacobs, Millbank and Stratford this afternoon: sunny blue skies, snowdrops, crocuses daffodils etc in bloom. Walked around the entire "waterfront" trail and downtown Stratford as well as many km on G2Gtrail. Then a scenic drive cutting southeast through Haysville, New Dundee, Glen Morris, Rockton, Waterdown and the QEW back to Toronto as the sunset off the HBS towers.

Outside of Linwood on a rural gravel road, I saw an Old Order Mennonite with a horse pulling a wagon across a field, to go rock picking perhaps? Suddenly the horse keeled over and died. Freaky!

The Dave Martin Mennonites and their extended families were hustling today, almost inspirational their work ethic getting shitty shit done (mostly by hand, although yes it's always amusing watching the 1980s tractor/skidsteer brigade cheat their God.)

So SA were apparently offended by the Gaelic term for fairies, Brownies (which has nothing to do with India and the name change should be revoked) yet love opening Mary Browns chicken franchises. Unlike Indian food, MB is very bland "white people" chicken ha. Why not create an Indian-inspired fast food chain of curry-flavored fried chicken, burger patties stuffed into Naan with cilantro, chutney mayo and paneer, served with curry fries and Maaza?

We've got a chain here in Vancouver called Chicken World which was started and owned by a Pakistani immigrant. It's kind of doing what you're talking about. It's been pretty successful throughout Metro Vancouver.

Cool, breezy and mostly cloudy and dry.
We had a sudden heavy shower about an hour ago downtown.

Saturday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 11 C, the low was 7 C.

It's above freezing but doesn't feel nice at all.

Hi Moncton, I discovered that the solar eclipse on Monday will be total over your city only in one area while in the other it will be just under 100%
