I think all these extremely predictable complaints whenever bus or bike lanes that would eliminate parking spots are proposed prove, is that many business owners don't use transit or bike, likely drive and use curbside parking when they visit their establishments, and can't imagine their customers aren't exactly like them.
There are certainly businesses that require parking (lumber yards, paint store, furniture stores that don't offer delivery, etc.). But the idea that a restaurant or grocer or clothing store will become inaccessible if there is not curbside parking is laughable.
