Very telling that she did not announce her resignation herself.
So she was forced out.
The media is focussing o the "hurtful" comments, etc., but I think that her comments run deeper and show an arrogance that should not be tolerated from a cabinet minister.
That arrogance is evident in that she did not make the announcement herself
(i.e. she's not one to admit she was wrong and I don't think her apologies apologize for being wrong, just for being hurtful.)

The discussion was about why she should be or shouldn't be dismissed. You can't avoid commentary about Israel/Palestinians, because that's the very heart of why she was dismissed.
It's in the article. Calling it a “crappy piece of land with nothing on it” is definitely Robinson being a bigoted c-word.
That statement could have easily meant what she said it meant. If she has no history of making derogatory comments about a certain group of people then you must give her the benefit of the doubt. Instead political opponents and people with a political agenda jump all over it and exploit a very sad situation.

If it "meant what she said it meant," that's still a horrible way for a public figure to refer to another nation or state. Leave that for Twitter and/or the Americans.
Lots of people have shown that she was factually wrong about the 'crappy piece of land' not having anything or an economy on it.
That's what there hasn't been an apology about - being factually wrong - from the Minister of Advanced (!) Education.
She's one of those people who can't admit to being wrong and will dance around it. You can see it in her 'apologies' and responses.

Exactly. But then all the same people who want to give her the benefit of the doubt would be tearing into someone on the other side saying the same thing.

Actually, Selina Robinson HAS a history (since Oct. 7th) of multiple posts on social media conflating Palestinian civilians with Hamas, with any criticism of Israel as antisemitic, and of Pro-Palestine protests as pro-terrorism/pro-hate protests. She has on many occasion also retweeted sources from alt-right pipelines like PragerU and the like. All in the last 4 months and all since deleted off her timeline though others have screenshots of said posts.
The final decision to have Selina Robinson to resign from cabinet was made by the premier, according to a B.C. NDP source involved in the discussions.
That decision is now facing a backlash from the B.C. Jewish community who say a prominent Jewish politician and ally in the fight against antisemitism was treated unfairly.
