City has done a poor job plowing the sidewalk. They seem to think plowing in front of the bus shelter is enough. There's a reason why the sidewalk is so wide. We need it all year round.
I sent a complaint a few weeks ago and they plowed one extra width behind, but not fully. Better than nothing I guess.

It's funny how calling the city/311 can actually be quite effective.
I remember at my old apartment off Beechwood, there was a burnt out street light at the corner. Driving home the night it went out, it struck me as suddenly dangerous/dark, there was also the park across the street that had the through path to the other side of the neighborhood.
I stressed this factor to the operator on the phone and to the City of Ottawas credit they had that light swapped in something like 48 hours.
