In this case do we actually know the assault was random? It could have been somebody she plhrlped prosecute. Disturbing either way.

Lawyers want the provincial courthouse moved to a more safe location. Also says the lawyer that got attacked was with a security guard at the time because of previous safety issues.

Three people are facing theft charges after allegedly stealing $6,000 worth of clothing in downtown Vancouver.

The incident happened Monday, Feb. 5 at the Robson Street Lululemon, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).


"A known shoplifter and a couple of his friends returned to a Robson Street retailer on Monday and stole over $6,000 in merchandise before fleeing in a taxi," states the VPD in a social media post.

Police were able to locate the cab, arrest the trio, and recover the items.

The three have each been charged with theft over $5,000, VPD spokesperson Sgt. Steve Addison tells Vancouver Is Awesome. The stolen merchandise has been returned to the Lululemon store.

Rocky Grey, Brandy Shingoose and Gary Shingoose are facing charges related to the incident.

i looked up the one name on Facebook, if it was the same person he was in jail or prison at some point in 2023. He seemed to be posting from there in some of what he posted.

There is some irony that must be noted when lawyers want the provincial court house moved because of concerns over safety (crime). Hmmmmmmmm.

You're completely correct Vin. There's nothing like enough harm reduction investment, or safe supplies, or treatment options. The chief coroner has been clear that it's needed more than ever. That's why somewhere like Hope has seen a higher death rate than Vancouver.

Funny then how Eby and Vancouver Coastal Health decided Richmond didn’t need an overdose prevention site after Richmond council approved it after bitter debate. I’m sure it had nothing to do with kowtowing to certain voters in the three marginal NDP seats in Richmond.

Richmond council didn't approve an overdose prevention site, they agreed to continue to explore whether a site should be established at Richmond General Hospital.

What was 'funny' is how Kash Heed, an ex Liberal (BC United) cabinet minister, now Richmond councillor, chose to introduce the motion in an election year, when Coastal Health hadn't identified a safe injection site as the best way to develop harm reduction in Richmond.
