Don't get too excited. We're still waiting on the tower cladding AND the balcony railings. Plenty of opportunity to Claridgify the project.

The Ādisōke project site is seeing continued work on the roof panelling as well as the branch columns. The installation of façade steel along the exterior of the building is also almost complete.

Inside the building, vapour barrier work is continuing, as well as partition framing. Sitting at the light at Bronson and Slater, it was really cool how this project seems to be "part" of the neighbourhood. It's not in the middle of nowhere like some images project and is quite accessible to Centretown residents. With Lebreton coming into its own as a neighbourhood I think this will be a pretty happening spot in a few years.

Especially with the road re-alignment and revitalization in that area, should be a much more inviting walk hopefully by the time the library opens.

Anybody know what the circled structures are on the roof? I do not see them visible in any renderings of the roof.

(I could be slow…I must be because my image link is not working)

It looks like those will be part of an array of solar panels - as seen at 27s onwards in this video:

To embed an image from imgur you have to get the direct image file url. Go to your link - right click on the image - and you should be able to open the image in a new tab or window - then use that image url for the embed.

Skylights and solar panels. Most renderings are from a pedestrian point of view, but some do have high angles that show these.

I recently noticed it's a fairly imposing sight coming across the Portage Bridge from Quebec.

I haven't had the chance to see that for myself yet, but I can imagine. No doubt I've said this before, but there was a lot of discussion about the location, if a CBC location would have been better, or directly next to Pimisi Station, but this site will offer fantastic views to and from the Library. Could not have chosen a more prominent perch for what will very likely be an iconic building for Ottawa.
