Is there anything being posted over at the new site that is not being cross-posted here?

I like many am mainly a lurker, but cherish the information I get from this site. I'd rather stay here, but the content makers are the ones that drive this community, and it this doesn't work for you then lets find a place that does.

I have not registered on the new site yet. Is it time?

So far, it's mostly updates about building developments that are being posted over at SkyriseCities. Most other chatter seems to be happening here.

But SRC is still working on setting up a formal Ottawa section, so we'll see what that ends up looking like. While photo uploads and mobile support are better over there, I still find the posts more of a strain to read, and the site more difficult to navigate, than here. Hopefully, fixes are coming for those usability aspects of the site.

So, good news folks. I understand that the Owner of SSP is in the midst of testing a migration of the forum to a newer platform version. We may get the missing features we've been yearning for all this time.

I don't know what version is being trialed, but if I find out I'll let you know

Can't help but wonder if this whole discussion prompted them to make that move. I just hope we don't lose the positive features on the site, like the navigation.

I'm effectively done sharing media content on SSP, although I will continue the discussion and will always be here for the Canada section. I have always loved contributing massive amounts of images to the community, but it's just SO MUCH EASIER on Skyrise Cities. I will be able to amp it up to 10 over there instead of being constantly annoyed by the process over here.

That being said, if anyone wants to pull any of my images from SRC over here, you all have my permission to do so.

I get it. It's quite challenging sharing images here. Your project updates are always really appreciated and I'll be happy to share a few of them from SRC to SSP, with credit of course.

Also taking the time to appreciate rocketphish creating threads on here with all the images. I've done a fraction of what they've done and can confirm it's a time consuming process.

Until they get an official Ottawa section, I'll probably stay here. Once the section is up, then we can move and reintroduce ourselves, especially if we take different usernames.

Splendid. Maybe the new version will help deal with all the f***ing adds that spam the lower half of your screen/phone when browsing this website

Ad revenue supports the operation of SSP, and most other websites, including SRC. If you choose not to view them, there are ad blockers for that.

I have only gotten more active recently, and I have to say, the SRC font hurts my eyes. I like this old-school forum look better

But I'll go wherever the people go, bad font or not.

Nothing wrong with this place. Posting pics is a learning curve, and I'd love it to be more streamlined.

I guess I've been a member for 22 years and this place has been part of my life for so long. I'm open to SRC, but only if this place gets nuked.

Until J.OT13 stops cross-posting Harley613's pics here I have no desire to check that place out. I know a lot forumers from here (a couple even came to my wedding!) and I still like to see what they have to say.

Skyrise Ottawa is live!

I have been playing around over there for a few weeks now, and heavily in the past two weeks, and I have to say: the other place is an absolute game changer for me. Content creation is so easy that you guys might have to come aboard simply to get the ridiculous amount of imagery and updates I have been/will be posting. I keep finding new amazing features that make the old place seem like a relic from the past century....oh wait, it is...

I will post a welcome thread over there soon that will share some tips and tricks, and explain how the thread title convention will work and how the database works, etc.

I love this ol' SSP gal, she'll always have a place in my heart, but I see so much more opportunity over at Skyrise Ottawa.
