I wonder if that lot by Spring and the Fidelity building could host a tower...

No, there are two CVCs on half of that lot and the Fidelity building. But that parking lot on the other side of Fidelity (SE corner 5th & N. Lamar) does not have a CVC on it.

One could get creative with that lot, even if it can’t go higher than ~40 feet.

Funny thing about that lot. The City used to own it. I believe it was a remnant from the construction of the Lamar Underpass. It was frequently used for construction staging in the area. Almost 20 years ago, Mayor Wynn made a big deal about selling it because it was potentially going to face the Downtown Station for LoneStar Rail. Perry Lorenz bought the property when Spring was under construction. I think it was mostly a move at blocking Schlosser from acquiring it for a parking lot, and what do we have today? I don't think Perry is even active in Austin development anymore. He spends most of his time in Mexico.

Great updates as always Mopacs. The loop is by far my favorite area to get some decent skyline shots.

but honestly how can you not tell me that 6G and the W look like they were designed to be superimposed precisely like this... really great outcome with the finished product here.

Captured the "Bam" view of downtown/Rainey skyline at Riverside. Taken this past weekend.

It’s crazy how you can barely see “Austin Classic” anymore behind all those Rainey Street buildings that were only built in the last few years.

That view over Disch-Falk is amazing. While I get that they didn't want fans looking into the afternoon sun....what a great view that would have been had the stadium been flipped 180 degrees!

Yes, indeed. See this view from the mid-2000s

Great pictures everyone! In that last one it almost looks like we’ll have two separate skylines with that small gap between downtown and Rainey street.
