I'll always remember as a young and impressionable teen, I came upstairs ready for school one day in my deep brown corduroy pants with a navy blue sweater.

My mom immediately said "brown and blue do NOT go together like that, go get changed"

I somehow still prefer this over the majority of towers in that area. Not understanding how they can afford to lose so much fenestration in a hotel. Is the tower's core along that wall? Is that where the stairs and elevator shaft is?

Yup. AC Marriott. This developer is also building a Moxy Marriott on York and the Renaissance Marriott on Bay.

And well, the Andaz also looks like a generic Claridge Building, but that one actually is. Doesn't seem like hotel chains do quality control.

I hate the blank wall, I hate the random patchwork and I hate that the colours don't match the rest of the tower.

Can't say that that skyline is very inspiring. Reminds me a bit of Central Asian cities. Stout towers with weird design choices.

Fall started September 22 and ends December 21. When a developer or Government gives a season, they usually mean the very end of that season (or the end of the season, in a few years).

In fairness Claridge Royal hasn't finished yet and was almost topped out when this broke ground. They made pretty good progress. As has the building across the street.

They started digging this one and Royale around the same time, mid-2020. There is no way one broke ground when the other was topped out. Royale is a much more massive development though.

Yes, this has been an extremely slow build out. That Beer store was plowed down in 2017 or 2018

I'm sure there will be some obvious issues with the Waller mall but this is a much needed connection to this every developing area.
