Beautiful shots. Nice to see some blue and green glass mixed in with all the brown and tan colors in that area.

Towers has some additional pics of the North Austin HHS building -- putting them in context with the rest of the site.

PS Yuge pic apology.

Nice. I missed this post. I added the camera link in the sticky thread for webcams.

Unsurprisingly, there were many signs posted on the 2nd that tailgating is not allowed on the Capitol Mall.

At least it's a nice area for people to walk through on the way to tailgating and DKR.

Might be a good starting location to have protests though.

Its good infill, but I wonder if it could have been more integrated with the capital via a bridge or something? Maybe too much cost?

I would bet they will be connected by tunnel. Many of the state office buildings north of the Capitol are connected to it by tunnel.

I’m sure it’s been discussed ad nauseum, but what are the plans for all these state garages after adding all these thousands of below grade parking spaces?

At least one of the garages is slated to be redeveloped in the first 3 phases of the master plan. The garage on the block bordered by Lavaca, 16th, Colorado, and 17th.
It looks like other garages, off of San Jacinto are “future phases”. Here is a link to the master plan: https://www.tfc.texas.gov/divisions/...an_ADOPTED.pdf
