Clear skies over Toronto tonight: I could see the skyline from Bloomington Road as I came back from an impulsive tour of Port Perry, Seagrave, Little Britain, Oakwood, Cannington is a lovely red brick town, Manilla has no Filipinos!?, Sunderland is another nice village, Sandford and before getting on the 404, I finally checked out Musselman's Lake. Glorious sunshine and sunset, North of Port Perry it was wonderful to be driving in "trackbare to wet," "blowing snow." (30 year's ago we'd call the MoT 1800 number for road conditions in the middle of nowhere Ontario - anyone remember?)
Anyway, it's currently 21F/-6C on my balcony.

I stopped by The Trading Post north of PP - wow very nice selection of seafood meats etc
Little Britain reminds me of those isolated villages in the est Eastern Townships towards QC or in Northern Ontario. If you can eat gluten, check out the buttertarts here.

So nice to be back in hill country away from gridlock, stop lights and ugly architecture
