-39 on my car this morning. Glad I have access to the Parkade today. But heading out to a site that has heating issues in a seniors facility. Already lost the emergency generator with a broken rad.

All my other sites are adding extra temp heaters through the weekend.

Also heard that the Biggest ER in Edmonton is closed. the Royal Alex ER is diverting patients. space was -2 this morning. That is bad since they have their own central heating building. so a control valve or something is closed.

Talking with my SIL in Van its -13C up at UBC. Brother said they have sent their site staff home because its to cold to work.

Hitting below -40 would be a 50 year record.

/\ Dang, that's cruel! Well yesterday in Victoria we fell below zero for the first time this winter and then it kept dropping! No snow downtown, but insanely cold. The Gonzales weather station in town is actually colder than the airport, we got a low of -11.5 vs.-10.6 for the airport. One more cold night tonight then warming up. To put this arctic blast in perspective, the coldest temperature ever recorded in Victoria is - 15.0 on December 28, 1968 so this is close to record breaking. I got some extra groceries yesterday so I won't be venturing outside until at least Sunday.

Took these a little north of Peterborough. More snow here than in Cobourg, which has s skiff. Peterborough is under a winter storm watch tonight, Cobourg just has an advisory as we'll see a transition to rain.

If we get -50°C, then that is a 138 year record smashed. Coldest recorded temperature in Edmonton was -49.4°C in 1886.

Love this weather. As soon as it hits you find out which Engineers designed for our climate.

Heading to a project now that has frozen lines in the Air Handling units control panel. Yah did not see this one coming.

Haha I bet Tim.

Also Darwin awards.

We had a contractor leave a sliding door open "2inches" Wed night and had a major floor on a floor.

Idiots.

I definitely didn't expect Victoria to hit -10 before Toronto lol!

We will join that list in roughly 48 hours.

According to EC the high yesterday at Halifax Dockyard was 4.6 and currently the temp is sitting at 0.3. It looks like there's lots of rain on the way. In the coachella valley it's been running a bit below seasonal but nothing to complain about...

It looks like we had a bit of sea smoke on English Bay this morning.
You don't see that too often around here.

Not too much snow on the North Shore Mountains, yet.
