I do not remember this signage atop Tower 1 in 1988. I remember Barclay's Bank, Continental Bank and HSBC, but this is none of those?

I know someone knows this. I want to say Canadian Western Bank (CWB), but I think I'm wrong. Here's a better view of the horse logo, from 1988 or 1989:

So a Google search (for “green bank horse logo” lol) led me to the National Bank of New Zealand which was owned by Lloyds Bank (United Kingdom) until 2003. Lloyds Bank also owned Lloyds Bank Canada which was in operation for a whole 4 years (1986-1990) before being sold to HSBC.

Thanks! There it is in the middle. Am I wrong and it was never Barclay's Bank? I believe that was also acquired by HSBC. BY the way, HSBC Canada has been acquired by RBC.

The original bank in this location was Continental Bank Canada, which was acquired by Lloyds Bank, which later sold it to HongKong Bank of Canada - which operated as HSBC Bank Canada. It was never Barclays Bank.

Planned business park north of Glencairn, first phase in the corner near Ross / Fleet. I do hope they twin Fleet between Ross and highway 46, but the city is cheap so they won't. There is an empty pipeline corridor that runs the full width of the city which would be a perfect car free bike route as well, but unlikely to ever happen in this perpetually cash strapped city. https://www.regina.ca/export/sites/R...evelopment.pdf

It appears that the public service zone in the SW corner will be storm water retention. Hopefully it is a naturalized marsh.

West of there is an existing water detention pond that doubles as a hidden motocross track. I saw a bunch of people on quads in there a few times. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fMmsTHeM6ZviJQQK6 At Fleet Street is how I frequently get into Glencairn by bike, carrying it over the tracks (unless there is a parked train). A lot easier than dealing with the traffic on Dewdney. There's also a dirt trail by the tracks going over to Prince of Wales, so it makes an easy way to get over to the east end.

Why is there so many industrial parks being built in Regina like it never ends well, it’s a good thing

Competition I guess. There are a few north of the dump, a bunch out by Emerald Park, the Chuka Creek park, most empty.

The new one is mostly an extension of what's already out there. A lot of building supply distributors out there, a giant laundry, a union local or two.

Lloyd's was the name I couldn't remember. Your google-fu must have been strong that day. I couldn't find it for the life of me.

Question New build - Albert St

What's going up on Albert Street, west side, looks like a restaurant/drive-thru "Tim's-type" place? Somewhere on north Albert, not sure which block it is, building is all up and enclosed. TIA.

Industrial vacancy rate is below 2%. That is very low.

Incredible insight. So profound that no reference is needed.

Regionally, the largest employment gains were in Regina, up by 6,400, and Saskatoon, which increased by 5,500 from a year ago.
