Well, you'll be happy to know that there are four more major towers proposed for 'Parkdale Row'! The two on back right are Richcraft, and they are building a temporary park there right this moment, but I think we'll see movement before 10 years. The two front left are the new Holland Cross tower at 1560 Scott by Lasalle, which is not yet approved, and the 1546 Scott St by Reid's Heritage, which is approved and could start at any time.

Yeah I know about those projects but I dont think they'll have the same impact. You can literally see the Dale down Wellington Street from the Elgin Intersection. They also have a huge impact when you're along the parkway or on William Commanda Bridge. I'm not sure Holland Cross is gonna have an impact from these vantage points. Hopefully I'm wrong

I wish street level Parkdale was nicer though. Would've loved to see segregated bike lanes, wide sidewalks, benches, garbages, retail, patios/cafes.

I hate the suburban look right now with the sidewalk against the road and every building set back with that thin strip of grass with pathways everywhere. Very towers in a park style.

Segregated bike lane and wider sidewalk is a must for sure on that section of parkdale. The available space is there

What's left is getting the LRT Stage 2 fully operational so all these people living LRT-adjacent can start seeing the benefits

This looks a lot like it was plucked from central Mississauga or Etobicoke shores, and planted here in Ottawa. And I don't say/think that in a negative manner...

A fan of this one, even after the bait-and-switch from a darker/black colour palette to the bluer/teal version.

The larger and longer balconies with alternating designs are something quite frequent in all other cities in Canada but a first for Ottawa.

Finally some diversity!

This is quite nice. Very clean. Having the frosted glass OVER the balconies concrete slab makes such a difference. Take note Claridge.

I love Richcraft's progression from CharcWhite (The Bowery) to The Charlotte and Parkdale Collective. They have moved on from Ottawachitecture and started building some of our nicest buildings, buildings that would work well in other Canadian cities with better highrise architecture. We can only hope they will turn their attention to The Sky after this one. With the new hospital on the way and an approval already in their back pocket, it would make sense!
