-3C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 0C this afternoon.

We still haven't had a decent winter snowfall this year. There is a coating on the ground to be sure, but, it is at most only 1-2 cm in thickness. The remainder of this week is also predicted to be snow free.

Low of 0.1 last night. It has only dropped below freezing once since December 20th, and just barely. That is about to change tonight

Winter has finally arrived in the GTA, kind of. We got a small amount of snow in some areas NYE, much of which has since melted.

While we will still be above seasonal for the next 7 days, we are a lot closer to the averages. Currently 2 and cloudy.

7 day forecast highs: 3/-2/1/-1/0/0/2
7 day forecast lows: -5/-7/-5/-4/-4/-2/2

No major snow events in the forecast.

According to EC, our average high for this date is -1.5, and the average low is -9.5.

Yeah, it’s been over a week now with basically no sun. We’ve had a few sunny days in the forecast only to turn out to be overcast.

I would even take a -10 but very sunny few days at this point. Getting depressing.

^ Same here. I think I saw the sun once last week, then yesterday afternoon the sky cleared up for the first time in quite some time. Today is back to overcast skies. At this point I’m ready for colder temperatures if that means sunshine.

Keep an eye on next Tuesday/Wednesday for a big snowstorm. Everywhere from Windsor to Montreal is in the potential crossfire. Amounts of 20-40cm are possible, locally more in the odd region.

2C and cloudy today. Grass is still somewhat green for now.

Low of 0C (wind chill of -5) this morning.

The warmspot was Sheringham Point, BC at 11.0C. That is the new high for the year.

Warmest low was Herbert Island, BC at 9.2C.

Interesting! TWN is currently showing 25mm and 1 cm of snow, but I suspect that will change. Our weather has been so boring it will be interesting to watch this one.

Wednesday was kind of a mixed bag. The morning was bright, calm and dry.
By late afternoon some rain was starting up and I got caught in a blustery shower on the East Side.

Wednesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 10 C, the low was 7 C.

Actual definition of wet cold out there this morning. Tiny bit of fog, persistent drizzle, 1 degree, and a chilling breeze out of the northeast. Bone chilling.

15-30 cm of snow tomorrow though, so pick your poison.

Agreed. Even I can't get warm today. It's proper drizzle too, not just fog. Feels like it's freezing on skin contact and sucking all the heat out of me haha.

A bit of disagreement on this one between TWN and EC for SENB. TWN is calling for +5C and mostly rain next Wednesday, while EC has us at +2C and mostly snow. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Moncton is about 50 km inland from the Bay of Fundy coast, and a variation in the storm track of 25-50 km can make all the difference in the world in terms of the forecast.

Currently 0C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 11 AM.

Heavy Fog in YEG this morning, Sun is out now and the trees are layered in frost. Forcasted snow is now no longer forecast but temps are to drop to below-20 by mid week. Just as I get boiler startup on one of my projects. Only snow is along the river and lakes. But most lakes are clear of snow and we get the rare opportunity to get on clear frozen lake. Without the snow the lakes are freezing. I was on last week were 8-10inch thick. Saw a tractor on one.

Storm is coming into focus now. 20-30cm of snow for St. John's, starting tomorrow morning but not really getting back until afternoon.
