3C and cloudy today. Some break in the clouds late this afternoon. Honestly the forecast here is just as bad as MTL. They say sunny conditions the day before then the morning of the forecast changes to "mix of sun and clouds" and in the end it's 95% cloud with maybe 20 min sun late this afternoon.
Let's see tomorrow... forecast is for full sun at 10C.

Low of -5C (wind chill of -9) this morning.

The warmspot was Thunder Bay, ON at 13.7C. It's quite rare to have Thunder Bay as the warmest place in the country 10 days before Christmas.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 7.7C.

Cool, cloudy and mostly dry. There were a few light scattered showers earlier in the day.
The cloud cover is like a blanket, keeping the temperatures very steady.

Thursday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 8 C, the low was 7 C.

We reached a high of just -1.5 yesterday under sunny skies. Our low at midnight was -3.2. I caught sight of a meteorite streaking across the sky when I went out to unplug the xmas lights. Had it been warmer or had I not been in sock feet I would have watched for others. Currently we're sitting at 3.7 and heading for 7 with a mix of sun and cloud.

I love the fact the kitscannabis corporate vehicle is a VW bus with surfboards on the roof.

It makes you think that when you enter their fine establishment to make a purchase, you will be greeted by a suntanned blond guy with a Hawaiian shirt saying "Duuuude, what's hangin'!!!"

Currently +2C in Moncton and sunny, going up to +4C this afternoon.

We’re supposed to get a lot of rain on Monday. Nothing special here, since nowadays we tend get as much, if not more, rain than snow in December. But I notice places as far north as Ungava Bay will be getting rain, which is kinda messed up this time of year.

It's 10 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, no wind at all. Couldn't ask for a better day at this time of year

My strange, stunted winter dandelions are back. A bunch sprouted this week and most have already went to seed.

Actually, the owner came up behind me just as I was taking these pics, all smiles because probably yet again somebody was admiring his set of wheels.
He was a handsome and athletic Eurasian looking fellow, probably middle aged. He had a goatee and long hair pulled back in a ponytail. Wearing shorts (of course).

I wanted to ask him what the vehicle was but didn't want to appear too ignorant so I just asked what year it was.
He rolled his eyes and said wellll... it was actually a '97 (something something) but he made it up to look like an old Volkswagen.

He's probably had a lot of fun making it look like something that would bend someone's mind.
It's a right hand drive, so obviously from Japan.
Notice the little air horn (?) above the driver's side window. He can just reach out and squeeze the rubber bulb.
Also, on the side were some fridge magnets with a little sign saying "Free magnets! Take one."

Stellar day. Sunny and mild.

First 2 photos are during the day, just north of Stony Lake. Last 2 are this evening in Cobourg.

It hit 55F+/12.5C in Toronto today. I went to Balmy Beach & walked the boardwalk strip. Then endured a hellish 1.5 hour drive back to the westend. Sunny skies. Possibly the warmest birthday I can remember. It's funny when you're no longer a kid (ie parents are gone) & have no friends, partners or children, birthdays don't feel the same. Just another day closer to the end.

10C and sunny today. Gorgeous out there. Too bad I had a busy day at work so other than 1 hour around 1PM, I wasn't able to enjoy the sunshine too much.

Low of 4C this morning.

The warmspot was Toronto (City Centre), ON at 13.3C.

Warmest low were Sheringham Point, Discovery Island and Herbert Island, BC at 7.5C

Seeing Montreal at 8C today under the same sunny conditions. What is interesting is that the dewpoint was actually higher than here (not by much but still).

It's a bright and sunny morning in Halifax. Yesterday's high on the basin was 7.0 and low -0.2. The forecast high today is 6 with continuing clear skies. EC has issued a special weather statement for high winds from the south and rain for this coming Monday and Tuesday. Temps are forecast to be 11 - 13 for those two days.

Cloudy with sunny breaks and 3 degrees at just before 12pm. Temperatures will cool off this afternoon, but a warmup is coming mid week, with double digit temperatures in the forecast.

Only +1C and sunny in Moncton at 11 AM. I think a front of some kind went through earlier this morning, explaining the temperature difference between here and Halifax. It's quite windy and gusty out.

+5C and sunny tomorrow, then stormy Monday and Tuesday with temperatures between +11 and +14C.

Looks like a modified Daihatsu Hijet. Fairly common JDM import in Vancouver. I'm sure Volkswagen would not approve.
