The team has not confirmed what the timeline is, pending more from doctors.

Its 6-8 minimum. Could be longer based on further evaluation.

Info from one of these fanatays doctor types guys says likely torn MCL.

https://twitter.com/Harjas_Grewal/status/1734040104359088473

Optimist side here is the Jets can now accrue cap space and head into a potential Kucherov or Mark Stone eque cap manipulation scenario.

Connor makes $7.1 mil per. About 2/3 of the season left. So they can probably accrue $4mil or so in cap space in his absence. Long story short, the Jets can add for sure one significant piece for a playoff run. If not 2 pieces with the other trade possibilities.

I am not sure why you are writing Connor off. Why not wait and see what happens in early February? The Jets said it is 6-8 weeks, and that is not written in stone.

PS....just watched the game last night. Logan Stanley should not be playing in the NHL.

Not writing him off at all. He should be back before the season is out. Just noting the silver lining re: salary cap gymnastics in his absence. Every day or game he is out, the Jets gain cap space to spend on other players.

This is the exact situation both Tampa and Vegas are criticized for. Holding out star players to acquire other stars players. Then when playoffs come, salary cap is not in effect and the players are magically ready to go.

Maybe we'll hear news that Connor is in the low end of the injury spectrum and will only be out a couple weeks. Jets placed him on injured reserve today. Not sure if that is the same as LTIR, but maybe that's coming.

I hope the Jets play better against LA than they did San Jose. I only watched the third period, but the power play was not good. They had trouble with scoring, so Connor is already missed. Broissoit and Hellebuyck have been playing great, after a slow start. Pionk did not impress me, and Stanley is brutal.

On a positive note, I love the play of Perfetti and Valardi. Morrissey is one of the best D-men in the league.

I agree a great effort and outcome!

An article today about the Jet's drive to enlist more businesses in their season ticket push:

It looked ugly after the first period. I was thinking a blowout, but they really took the game to the Kings. I was so happy to see PLD shut out. I'm so happy he's gone. Totally overrated player.

That's good news. The Jets are playing very well and have a solid team. People should not be fading them.

both LA goals were piss poor. one of side of Helly ear and the other on a BS penalty call followed by a no call on exact same xcheck on samburg. Lowry and Bowness lost their 🞵🞵🞵🞵 on that one, LOVE to see that

This cannot be overstated. PLD was indeed overrated. Don't get me wrong. He had talent, and if he had the heart, he would be an elite player. However, he lacked heart, and judging by the way he left Columbus and Winnipeg, can half-🞵🞵🞵 it.

Valardi may turn out to be as good as PLD alone, never mind the fact that we also received Iafallo, Kupari, and a 2nd round pick.

PLD is just lazy. He looked exceptional in the CBJ/TB playoff series from years back. Beyond that, I put him in the same category as Laine. Really talented, lazy bum.

Jets did well in turning Laine into the assets they currently have. Related news, Laine injured, again.

Until my income goes up or the price of groceries goes down, I doubt I'll be buying a lot of tickets.

As of December 2023, Jets are 28th in franchise valuation. Considering TNSE spent only $170 million to purchase the Thrashers 12 years ago, The Jets value has risen by nearly 460% since 2011. No way they sell the team in the foreseeable future.

Jets are firing on all cylinders now. 18-9-3.

Vilardi is on fire since returning from injury. Scheifele is playing his best hockey in years. Perfetti has established himself as one of the best players on the team. Morrissey is one of the best D-men in the league.

Ehlers, Niederreiter, and Iafallo are clicking on the second line. Lowry is proving to be a valuable captain. Hellebuyck is in Vezina form after a slow start.

Heinola and Kupari will return before the new year. And once Kyle Connor returns in early February, the Jets will be a force to be reckoned with.

This could be the year we go far in the playoffs.
