It's elegant in it's simplicity. It's form is similar to the CharcWhites, but keeping to one matte material with flush reflective glazing makes it look modern. 1000x better than weird shapes and patterns in bricks to add psuedo-style to a box.

I couldn't agree more.

Like.. if you were painting your living room would would you pick 3 colors and different style baseboards and trims for each wall? No ? Didn't think so.

View of SOHO Italia (and Claridge Icon) from Preston Street.

The Italia looks pretty nice from this angle.

Agreed, though this shot makes me think that I would absolutely kill for some podium and tower development a la Vancouver.

That overhang on the top few floors is kinda neat.

I saw they installed one of the SOHO signs at the top of the tower on the north side (the one visible from the 417). Wonder if they've installed the one at ground floor and the cool LED lighting that was in the renders.

Rental pricing now posted.

https://sohoitalia.com/availability.html

1 Bedroom from $1760/month
2 Bedroom from $2320/month

Slightly cheaper than Element in Westboro and suites are a little bigger.

It makes sense the Soho is cheaper, it doesn't have those amazing Superstore parking lot views!

The units are tiny. 2-bed, 2-bath under 700 sq ft! I think the 2-bed units are meant for 2 unrelated people sharing, which is why the have 2 baths.

Could be trying to appeal to the Carleton student population.

Worth noting that Italia participated in the CMHC program to offer "affordable" housing. Might explain the reasonable rents.

That reflective glass next to the grey and seafoam Icon makes 'Icon' look really drabby...

The SoHo just looks so much classier than the Icon. It's too bad it wasn't a little taller to bring closer in height to its less appealing neighbour.
