It doesn't look like there is anything to take a picture of from mcminsen's recent pic.

Reminder of what the final appearance will be (I think this is the most recent version as the windows seem to match):

Thanks for the photo updates. It's really flying along now. Funnily, I always get this one mixed up with a similarly massed recent building a block over: https://goo.gl/maps/MiAJumt1p9MAxvWNA

I keep thinking didn't they already build this?

Beautiful building! Also love the high-ceilinged retail and brick facades.

The neighbourhood just needs to be cleaned up.

How strange. Studios to 2 bed. I suppose the other building will be more heavily 1-bed? Anyways, those prices seem steep given the area.

I don't think it's that strange, considering market trends. Many 1 bedrooms are just studios with a frosted glass curtain wall separating the "bedroom" from the rest of the living space, and with an extra 50 - 100 square feet. The difference between these one bedrooms and a studio apartment are minimal.

Yeah, that's a big nope. A three bedroom contained in 800 square feet? It is to laugh, even more so to see how much of that 800 sf is a hallway. And I love the latest development trend: bedrooms with no room for a dresser or chest of drawers. Oh, and closets the size of a water closet.

What is not minimal is the mental barrier of prospective renters in accepting 2500 a month for a studio. If the difference is minimal, then add the frosted glass and market it as a 1 bedroom!

It’s not like the 3 beds are going to families, more likely three tech workers (or so) sharing a crash pad.

That was my thought too - Amazon workers or VCC students?
$4000 among 3 seems more affordable.
... but in bizarro world, the 3 bed only has one bathroom.

This happened to me again when looking through this thread in response to the new post.
