Was walking on my lunch break and thought i'd provide some updates on the 3 active tower projects downtown.

Water Street by the Park on the third level of their parkade. Once the parkade is complete tower portion will go fast.

The Block and Bertram Tower from a distance. Both towers topped out with finishing concrete pours happening on Bertram mechanical room.

UBCO still excavating. Was anticipated that excavation would take the until end of 2023.

Not a huge fan of it either. Basically where Horizon Drive has to cross under the highway so it's 5 metres below and then it's connecting with Boucherie Road which at that point is close to 5 metres above the highway. So it's somewhat of a switchback to being put in.

I do like the improvements they're making to the current mess that's Tomat/Hayman/Sneena.

A new video of mine exploring the variety of film locations throughout southern B.C. Kelowna and Okanagan Valley is featured of course! Besides the movie clips all the shots are my own taken over the last few years:

Good video with a brief overview of filming locations in BC. Thumbs up from me but the audio quality could be better IMO.

Thanks! Yeah, I do want to get a new microphone. The lav mic I got now is okay, but it lacks depth. The visuals have always been my stronger side…

BC Housing has resubmitted for 20 storey (63m) tower. Previous development permit expired last year. Identical project.

As bad as that is, it's still better than what BC Housing puts in Kamloops.

Great to see that many 3 bedroom units! See, you can have a good portion of 3 bedrooms! …as long as you’re not trying to make a profit lol

Any experts to say why the Water St by the Park has a slanted podium? And how are they gonna even it out to the amenities level?

Don't remember it being uneven.
