Talking of it, if the Révolution tranquille had not happened, there would be 20 million fully 'pure laine' Québécois in Québec today. You have one hour to write an essay about the consequences.

"Rouler une pelle" here is "frencher": j'ai frenché avec elle, on a frenché, je te frenche...

Comes from the expression "french kiss" of course.

I wonder if the ladies say "mange ma plotte" in France.

A real lady wouldn't say that here either, truth be told.

The wish would be... subtly implied.

Les femmes ne parlent pas comme ça.

Either you seduce them and you do it, or you go fuck yourself.

Bah! Quebecoise gals are way more forward than their Anglo counterparts.

Hein? Je suis né au Québec et j'ai vécu dans cette province pendant une grande partie de ma vie. Pourquoi êtes-vous si personnellement insulté?

See...this is the quality content I am absolutely here for.

Never mind the bollocks or the trite separation arguments, here is real culture.

Oh, and America as a band is Van Halen. Canada is....Toronto.

I don't feel offended. What do you think? I couldn't care less.

Um, whatever. You should know that most women won't literally ask you for that.
Often, you have to take them in the direction.

At best, your girlfriend will ask you for a "minette" when you're familiar enough with them and when she feels comfortable and happy with you.
But it takes a bit of time, eh. And she won't be like - eat it right now! You slave!
You have to show her that you want it, dude!

What the heck am I talking about anyway? You're crazy, driving us in some basic intimate things that everybody should be aware of.

Not all expressions in French have crossed the ocean in both directions.

Though in the interest of education, I should point out that according to what I know, "brouter le minou" is used on both sides of the Atlantic.

Je veux qu'ils continuent. C'est plus éducationnel de mon vraiment formation linguistique! Toujours, on demande au professeur d'enseigner le langue des gens. Et finalement, ça arrive ici!

Le Juif cossu qui mesure le tissu...

Do you think that will help people get over old stereotypes? There are old Jews that are nothing like opulent nor measuring any tissue out here.
In Créteil, in Sarcelles, in the 19th arrondissment of Paris... I can tell you, there are lots of Jews that are not rich at all.
They're leaving for Israel because of those stupid stereotypes. And it hurts, because they are French, not Israelis.

That's a silly song.
We were talking about women a bit earlier... I challenge you to seduce any by playing that song.
It'd be impossible, except in weirdest embarrassing situations.

Easily figured out, of course, but… I’ll point out I had never, ever heard that exact formulation yet.

“Standard” formulation is either “manger la chatte” or “manger la plotte”, the one and only difference being the class level of the girl whose parts are on the “business end” of the speaker’s tongue.

(I blame the high volume of French immigration for your formulation being in use with your kids’ generation on our side of the pond )

I have a female francophone bisexual friend who is about 10 years younger than me and she will say "mange ma plotte" to both males and females as a joke or when someone jokingly insults her. The word "plotte" is definitely used in Northeastern Ontario.

I've heard it from people who definitely don't have much international francophonie exposure.

Lots of rude Facebook memes with that in it.

Oulala if French Jews are doing aaliyah to Israel these days it's surely not because of Pierre Perret.

I'll give you one guess to find the real reason!

Because of French Islamic extremists?

Well Israel may not be safer...
