Wow that is truly amazing and could have a major positive impact on the area in the medium-long term.

Love to see something happening to that site as it is a negative contributor to the neighbourhood. Does it seem a little too close to the Portage Place Health Centre?

That could be an advantage. If one facility is experiencing high demand for it's services it could refer people to the other.

Has there been any more news on this front? Will the city accept the conditional terms to access the funds? We really need to get moving on housing.

Edit: I don't know why the yellow exclamation point triangle popped up haha

The Executive Policy Committee will vote on the motion on Nov. 14 and City Council will vote on Nov. 23. The exact wording of the motion hasn't been released yet. I have heard that many councillors are on-the-fence and haven't decided how they will vote yet.

If you are able, I strongly urge you to register to speak at either the EPC meeting or the City Council meeting. Like I said, many city councillors appear to still be on the fence and speaking at the meetings is the best way to persuade them. You can show up in person or call in through Zoom.

The agenda item is #19 in the below link:

That would be huge if it actually gets built. Some real TOD, never thought I'd see the day.

It'd be cool to see the whole strip along the Blue Line developed just like this. Thousands upon thousands of people able to live on the transitway.

It’ll happen, it’ll just probably take a Winnipeg minute aka 20 years lol but it’s starting to feel like momentum is coming.

Well they've been planning this tower and one across the street for something like 15 years now!

It's a copy of the building on Stradbrook which I quite like!

We might be needing a new thread for this building if they actually break ground!

Yes, they have planned for 2 towers there for like 10 years now... Since the Yards started.

It reminds me of Stradbrook mixed with a hint of 300 Assiniboine.
