Habitat for Humanity ReStore has official announced they are relocating to the spot next to Cineplex, (175 McAllister Drive).

Quote:
"‼️ MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️
New year, new look! Keep your eyes open for Habitat for Humanity’s new and improved ReStore in Saint John, New Brunswick. This has been months in the making, and we are so excited to finally be able to share our new location.
175 Mcallister Drive, directly beside the Cineplex. Look forward to a fresh feel, and lots of parking. This location is more accessible and central to Saint John’s main shopping district.
In the meantime, we don't want to move everything so make sure to visit our existing location for BLOW OUT pricing. Our moving sale will bring pricing as low as 90% over the next few months! You won’t want to miss this.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT. The ReStore is Habitat for Humanity’s largest fundraising tool and proceeds go towards our greater mission of building affordable housing within our community".

Plaza Reit. has updated the leasing plan for Exhibition Plaza. It now shows the spot Blaze Pizza was supposed to go, (next to Tim Hortons), as LEASED. (Before it said Blaze Pizza for this spot). So looks like something new is coming soon. https://plaza.ca/plaza-properties/exhibi...8hhSfhDxnCRwCLf2aRmIjcL0uXUKkpACD7NOKfUY

Looks like the new Taproom at East Point Shopping Center between Celebrate and Sally's Beauty is still happening. It's called Fusion East Taproom. Signs are up on the window saying they are now hiring. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1690502684515770/posts/3703893743176644/

Candy Depot is closing their doors. They feel the location/building they are in on Rothesay Avenue can’t provide their customers the experience they deserve. But they mention that this isn’t goodbye, they will be back again sometime in the future.

Sources are saying that Lawtons Drugs inside Brunswick Square will be relocating from the 1st level to the 2nd level, (directly above where they are at right now).

This move will happen in January 2024.

the new Taco Bell on the westside opens on November 14th, 2023. Apparently the east side location inside KFC will be closing after this one opens.

If you ever had Taco Boyz, no wonder Taco Bell would want out of the neighborhood. No comparison IMO.

Was out walking my dog today and walked by both Wendy’s & KFC enroute to Irving Oil YMCA field house. Wendy’s was long overdue for a major reno, drive thru is still open. Funny thing is I happened to be in there last month & said same to people we were with. As for KFC renos, no loss IMO for Taco Bell, but I can see KFC needs a facelift to maintain business with Popeyes & Mary Browns. Also I walked by former Saint John Bakery spot beside the Turkish Big Bite & I see a sign posted coming soon Hub Burritos Fresh Mexican Grill and then underneath that it says Fresh Shakes & Paletta Ice Cream & Gelato. Sounds like delishiousness to me 😂👏.

Some out there have an affinity for things vintage. That Wendy's got to almost 29 years with that look, that was 1st seen officially on November 21, 1994.

=P

Please tell me you worked on the store at the time, otherwise I’ll have to assume you have the greatest memory of all time to recall the exact day when a fried chicken restaurant renovation took place 30 years ago

Taco Bell opens Saint John’s first stand-alone location.

Quote:
“West Saint John residents have a new place to grab a bite to eat.

Taco Bell has opened its first stand-alone location in the city.

It is located at 977 Fairville Boulevard, across the street from Sobeys.

“As Taco Bell Canada continues to set its sights on expanding across the country, we’re excited to grow our presence in New Brunswick and the East Coast,” Devon Lawrence, marketing director of Taco Bell Canada, said in a news release.

The new location officially opened its doors on Tuesday, said the release.

Taco Ball said the new location will bring around 37 new jobs to the region”.

Advertisements are now up for the new home of Ardene at McAllister Place, (former H&M space). They were also installing the signage for Ardene on the exterior wall of McAllister Place today. They are supposed to open in December/January (there are some delays). And this will be one of their largest stores in the region and will carry men's and kids clothing, as well as footwear, in addition to women's fashion.
