AT doesn't plant trees in the TUC. Not only are they expensive to plant and maintain they encourage wildlife which results in more collisions. Sterile = Safe, especially on a high speed road with 50,000 - 90,000 cars per day.
The only exception to this was a stretch of Nose Hill Drive WB between 87 St. NW and Stoney Trail. (

They did absolutely nothing to that effect and majority of them are dead now.
I agree the views going NB towards the TCH are less epic than what I was expecting also. However, the view going SB towards Hwy 8 are probably the nicest of the Mountains & Elbow Valley area anywhere within the city limits.
