While we only have that many supermarkets on the peninsula, we have a lot more areas zoned for retail that have allowed grocers. I think 13 supermarkets and grocers exist in the West End alone for the odd 47k people there. Not to mention the butchers, bakeries, etc.
I'm not saying this area should be the West End, an area that's 100 years old, but the designs for new master planned areas and community plans like the Cambie Corridor should match the City's goals. Otherwise they're built and left to be as is for the next 60 years.
