Still one of my favorites. It's actually a pretty building up close.

I don't know when it was built. But it was there until ~2010 when he Seaholm/Greenwater area was cleared for development.

The Capitol grounds had a much more expansive tree canopy in the 1950s. What a shame that it isn't like that now.

That 1931 picture took me a while to figure out. The view is looking up Brazos Street. The Littlefield Bldg and the Driskill Hotel really stand out. Also interesting are the houses that seem to line First Street (Cesar Chavez) overlooking the river.

Dutch Elm disease took out much of it decades ago.

Liberty Lunch

Does someone have that circa 1970 aerial photo of Liberty Lunch surrounded by all the parking lots? I know it's been posted here but I can't find it.

I don't remember this video being posted of the University Towers demolition. It wasn't uploaded until a year after the demolition, so that's probably why.

Austin 1986

This short video, produced by the City of Austin's communications department (Channel 6), offers a glimpse into how the city saw itself circa 1986.

"3.7 million arrivals and departures annually" at Mueller.

Well, I'd say that's changed a bit.

Robert "Miller" Airport for those long-time residents who insist it was always called "Mewler".

We can add that to the list with Manchaca, Blanco, Pedernales, and countless others.
