PTH 1 twinning in Whiteshell.
Split off at Freedom road and follow south side of utility corridor around Barren Lake. Connect back into existing alignment west side of PR 301 overpass. New lanes to the north.
Leave old #1 as is. All of it. Speed limit, access points, etc. Could add an access point near where old #1 parallels PR 301 near Toniata/Faloma. Or even combine the east interchange with a PR 301 interchange.
You could decommission old #1 from Falcon interchange heading east and just use PR 301.

West end Freedom Road/Old #1 combined interchange.
East end connection to existing alignment.
PR 301 overpass.
West Hawk Interchange.
The yellow lines near Freedom Road are ramps. You'd need 1 bridge for Freedom Road and another bridge to get the old #1 WB lane to connect with existing #1 WB lane. Heading EB, there'd be an exit after the freedom road overpass, where traffic would change to either head from EB #1 to EB old #1 and/or traffic from NB Freedom to EB new #1.
