Someone who lives there would know this much better than I, but Montreal is not the same as it was a couple of decades ago. So something that didn't work out back then may have a very different outcome today.
That said, Olympic Stadium as it is would make for a horrible atmosphere for the CFL and any other "smaller" attendance sport even if they were to rejig the seating and create a stadium-within-a-stadium. A replacement for Saputo shared by the Als and CF Montreal may not be a bad idea, if financing can be agreed.
I've loved watching some CFL games at Molson, but it's far too limiting for a pro football franchise and its fans.
