The older portions of the development actually look a lot better now that their green roofs and the landscaping around them are all maturing, and giving a more organic look and feel to them, compared to just random buildings in a brownfield the way they initially started off as...

'Downtown Westboro' when only three buildings visible are in Westboro

I would just call it the 'Western Skyline' or 'West End Skyline'

Talk to any real estate agent, and they'll back you up on that.

And if there's a shooting anywhere east of the Rideau River, it's in Vanier.

Also, the Ogilvie Road Costco is the 'Orleans Costco' to so many people.

Nice to see the south east corner left blank. Indicating that glass curtain is still happening.

It would be a shame if 70% of the 'glass curtain' ended up being solid teal spandrel panels... Claridge would never do that, would they?

You know, that wouldn't be such a bad thing. LeBreton could use a little teal. It's not like Rideau with an overload of teal.

I suspect however, that it will be the more black glass of Moon and Royale. This one will probably just look like a boring black tower in the skyline like those two. No visually distinct elements. Just a black mass.

Most of the tower is actually suppose to be white/beige! The glass portion is where we really dont have much off a clue. It would be very much unlike Claridge to really do floor to ceiling windows, although they's shown they can with the previous phase of the east flat and that glass cube above the Orange building.

If it looks like that, I think it will be a welcome addition, but I have my doubts that's what it will look like. Claridge has a bad habit of building all of its "generation" of towers the same. They built red brick, then shifted to puke yellow, then teal and beige cement board, then bluish grey metal panels. Now they are in their charcoal brick/black glass and random metal panel phase.

If the glass portion of the tower look anything like the glass cube in that previous phase below I would be pleased. Its 100% glass no Spandrel panel

I absolutely hated that building at the time, but it's somewhat grown on me. Not the brick colour, that's still off-putting, but the general shape of the building, the glass tower, green space in the courtyard and around.

I agree, if the corner of the new tower looks like that, which would tie in well with phase 1, it would look quite good. It needs to be a colour, not just black.

I find it to be quite pleasing from across the aqua duct near the kayakers building thingy. Wandering through there one day and caught that angle. Really changed my opinion on the building. It's also pleasant when walking along the path same side of the aqua duct.

I count 17 floors. If this is the 30-story one, it's just over half way there. Will look really tall considering there's not much in the area and the rest is low rise.

I could be wrong, but I believe this tower is currently visible looking West from King Edward and Sussex (Next to GAC) and from the Jacques-Cartier Promenade in Gatineau. Its right in the middle of the skyline from those angles.
