This seems to have stopped work again. They installed scaffolding and the stair/elevator shaft forms then stopped working again over the last couple of weeks. I wonder if this project is just doomed to never get done.

Took a peek as I drove by tonight and there are what appear to be concrete panels lined up on the west side of the site. But I have no idea how long they've been there.

Is there still a crane on site? I didn't think to look. Maybe they're waiting for one.

I took this walking up from West Harbour on Monday, it's a shame this is stagnant.

They had a survey crew out there a few months ago, I assume the results were not good for no new progress being made and no one onsite since then.

The new owner has a report with all the deficiencies that need to be addressed. Their plan is (was?) to complete the building.

The weird thing is that they did progress. They put up the forms for the last floor of the concrete shaft... Very weird.

Pretty sure it is and has always been storage for the Asian market beside it (which itself looks abandoned but is actually in operation). They've really neglected both of those amazing buildings over the decades, its a shame. The one on the corner definitely looks like it has some developing structural issues as well.

Wouldn't flinch at having it torn down - I just feel it's too far gone at this point.

I was thinking the same thing. It's like the backside has been lopped off, with some weird stuff hanging over the Cannon St. side.

Knock it down and put up a 3-storey building that takes cues from its neighbour.

there were a few guys on site here today.

I also noticed a sign up along Cannon saying "Financing provided by Marshall Zehr", which I believe is new. Hopefully this one finally gets completed soon.

I think there might be a crane? It might be for the apartment block a bit to the east though.

Walked by just now, can confirm there was 5 guys on site on the ground floor on their lunch break. Not sure what they are working on the site still looks the same.
