Probably the biggest shock to me, and the biggest indicator of how much advancement you can squeeze into something that you'd superficially think of being frozen in time like rail transit, is how much Cat5 cable you see being installed in this video. The implications for the volume and speed of data that's moving around internally inside the rail car is impressive.
