The medical building for the east Superstore site is on tap for approval at the RPC Tuesday. It is in fact a 4 storey building to be located between the gas bar and BestBuy. It does not appear that it will include a Shoppers Drug Mart. Although the main floor includes retail, it is divided into 2 CRU's and is half indoor parking - too small for a Shoppers. The building looks decent. It is 1231 sq m and 16.15m tall.

It took 15 years for that land to be developed, but they are sure making up for lost ground now!

That's the footprint of the building. The building is 53,000 sq ft. I have no idea how the planning department is allowing 40,000 sq ft office to be built in the suburbs considering city policy...

I guess saying it's medical will get you anything you want.

The administration report calls it a medical clinic with a small office component. I guess a doctor works in a clinic not an office.

Then the administration is being sold a bill of goods. All of the doctors in the building will also have their offices there. There won't be anything "small" about it.

Really, exam rooms are just office spaces. Overall, medical use is office use.

Plus down the road the building will turn into direct office space.

I thought he was very diplomatic considering this was way off topic, cluttering the thread and there was personal name calling which is against the rules and generally inappropriate.

There's no reason to pretend that a random thread on building stuff in Regina is a great and noble cause. It's the internet.

There's a backhoe ripping apart the Golden Mile today. Thank goodness for that, because that mall has been butt ugly since its last reno in 1990.

Ha ha touche! That will certainly be nice when it's all done, combined with the new hotel across the street. I wonder if anything is planned to go in the area to the north of the new hotel where Mr. Lube used to be.

Sadly that is another brownfield site that will be more challenging to develop

Interesting survey although sometimes I think surveys can be dangerous. Sometimes the majority, or possibly in this case, a vocal minority can be wrong.

I was flipping through the 2015/2016 Regina Winter Tourism booklet and noticed in the little page ad for O'Hanlon's and the Copper Kettle that the spot where Michi was had "Scarth St. Liquor" across the building. I know there's already an "Amy's Winehouse" offsale type location a little further up the block, but has anyone heard of a bit of a liquor store/offsale opening up in the the Michi section of the building?
