Good news from KLM in both a capacity and spotter view, Winter '16 they will be operating the 787-9 instead of the A332.

I really love the proportions on the 789, looking forward to seeing it here in YYC.

Yes its good news indeed. Keep in mind this schedule change is for October 2016; it will be a long year until the KLM 789 arrives on permanent basis.

Also by winter 2016 i expect AC to either have both LHR and FRA or just FRA on the 789.

I thought WestJet YYC-LGW was 5X. Total AB-LGW is 7X (2X from YEG)

DEN recently announced MUC service on Lufthansa "Jump" (or whatever it's called now) A343 starting next spring.

I think we could support MUC, either on LH Lite or AC Rouge.

DEN-MUC is being operated by mainline LH aircraft and crews. Cityline/Jump is for TPA, ATL, CUN, SJC, Madras, and a few others with high density 343 equipment.

MUC would have been a good summer seasonal option with a 788. I think it might be a bit too much capacity with 789. Unfortunately there are not enough 788 in the AC fleet to free up an aircraft for YYC-MUC.

As for AC rouge, its possible that YYC-MUC could work. Next summers YYZ-LGW will be the litmus test to see if AC and ACr can get along within the same market. So long as ACr doesn't eat into AC margins, then it possible we could see more combined mainline and leisure markets at the same destination. However if ACr eats mothercorps lunch, the two products will be split forever.

My bad, got DEN confused with recent TPA announcement.

Would be awesome if Edelweiss/Swiss went year round. Another great Star connection hub, and some good fares too (YYC-ZRH-DEL < $1400 in July!) Oddly enough YYC-ZRH on same dates is $200 more, go figure!

Air Canada is continuing to update its summer schedules.... We may need to alter that chart again Leftcoaster.

Looks like the additional four weekly added last summer to LHR has just been removed.

Maybe a temporary schedule change but the three weekly from YEG - LHR are gone too.

If AC was truly cancelling LEG-LHR you'd think they'd keep the 2nd flight YYC-LHR to handle the YEG demand. Everything we've seen with YYC-London numbers shows it to be a healthy route.

$5 million in operational offsets, which will be based on passenger numbers, and marketing valued at $1 million.

Based on what? loads or yields?

Besides, June (-6%) and August (-0.7%) saw international passenger declines for YYC.
July saw a growth of only 5,000 people compared to the year before. Overall, that's pretty poor for your summer months, where traffic should be at its busiest. Seems to me AC is reallocating its LH fleet to its 3 other hubs where intl growth is far greater.

Somebody has posted pax stats from the Brits on here before, and it showed good numbers for YYC-LHR. Yields? I dunno, but I'd doubt AC would go and abandon YYC to their competition.

tuffyy just posted in the YEG thread that their LHR flight is indeed still there, so I guess we wait and see on our 2nd LHR flight.

Verified on RES3, AC852/853 is gone.

Just purely speculating, but do you want to know what beats a WS 763ER CASM? The AC 77HD, and AC gets another 2 examples before Summer 2016 schedule. These new examples will have the new Dreamliner style International Business Class together with Premium Economy that is equivalent to WS Premium Economy, and 3X4X3 economy seating that is also equivalent to WS economy.
