So its going to be a slightly painful rest of the week, I'd suspect that the 'shuttle train' will require every person to transfer between the train that brought them to Dalhousie and it (the purpose of it is to keep headways the same for the rest of the system)

They must have lost a bunch of equipment. Energized AC line falling on DC = very bad news. Shocked there wasn't rider poles installed at the crossing location.

The pantograph snagged the contact wire at the interlock in a way I've never seen and ripped it all down.

Could it be the result of a worn pantograph? Or high speed?

I had thought that it was an Enmax AC line that had fallen across the Ctrain and edited my post accordingly.

Considering that every time even a minor event happens downtown, people start screaming "this is why it needed to be a subway in the first place!!!"...

I'm a bit surprised I haven't seen people start advocating for electrified rails. Maybe I shouldn't give them ideas.

Wasn't there a subway feasibility report of some kind due out a year or two ago? I remember some money being set aside for it in a budget but don't recall it ever coming to fruition...
