To be fair, and as ugly as the mascots are, it's not up to us to say what represents them. I mean, imagine our uproar if people from outside our country wanted us to only show them beavers and igloos - and not in the ironic, tongue in cheek way like the Closing Ceremonies. I mean, the names and the taxi components are supposedly representative of London life and of the Olympic movement in the UK. So that's what they're claiming anyway.
