The web site seems to be totally overloaded.

Yeah, once again they fail at doing what it should do. Really should have gone with the corporate masters at Ticketmaster

Oh well. I may have to try the offical resale site later in the month,
or use the money to buy a big LCD TV and enjoy the games at home.

Looks like I've been 1 for 4 on VANOC ticketing opportunities.

They clearly need more phases, separating events into each phase based upon expected demand. That, or rent more server time.

B'ah me too and it has been that way since 10am! And I have 3 pages open! I tried calling them, but obviously they are busy. Either that image shows up, or it says "failed to open page."

So irritating! I just want some tickets for Cypress events...

ps has anyone been able to log in to their ticketing account?

What's hilarious is you know the press releases have already going out proclaiming the success of the third round of tickets .

It failed out the gate so I'm having a hard time imagining that tickets are being purchased right now, unless it is working for traffic from other areas.

Has anyone gotten in, to even the "waiting area"?

The fact that one of the screens that appeared while I was trying was a message from the June ticket sales makes me feel they are desperately trying to reset servers, maybe even attempting to use the older versions of code at some point.

Bad day for their IT folks.

The servers definitely have some problem. Someone should press the 'reboot' button !

I already have all the tickets I want so I just tried logging in to see what was available and I managed to get in within 5 min. Seems like most of the prime events only have A tickets left, but there does appear to be tickets for everything if you only try to buy 2 or less. I couldn't find 4 tickets for anything expect the medal ceremonies.

That's amazing jlousa. Just curious are you in the Vancouver area?

It's possible a small portion of their servers are working while the others have failed.

Man I can see how you guys were p'd off the first time. Back in June I was able to get in and buy tickets within minutes. It's now 10:26 and absolutely nothing.

I now have this "https://tickets.vancouver2010.com/buy/TicketSales?agency=OLMP_MYTIXX" as the website, but it's still loading. jlousa, I don't understand how that is possible. You got in in 5 minutes? I've been trying for half an hour! This is very frustrating...

Try having multiple windows opened, I probably had 15-20, by the time I finished browsing 2 other windows had made it in. I'm sure lots of people are using the same brute technique hence the problems. Yes I'm in Vancouver proper, also on Metrobridges 100mb network though that shouldn't make much difference.
