feb 15 will be an interesting day and around then as well for the 1 billion will be better explained...

hotel WILL start spring 08 (only 7 yrs) late

port alberta getting steam

airlinks "going to start"

but there are a few things, terminal/hotel/infrastructure side i cannot speak more to.

well i dont know if it is public or not...so you get to wait until i hear differently. It has more to do with overall YEG than anything like a new FRA or anything......

Did you go to that investment seminar (to buy property in Calmar)? If so, I wouldn't put too much stock in anything they say... but I didn't go - so what do I know?

YKF might be a YEG route in a few years, it is a very new market for WJ.

yeah, I know. Just kidding, I'm not coming back for the beer talk... just BS'ing. But, I am flying YKF-YYC-YEG come Christmas... YEG-YKF would be a good flight, but it's a hard sell with YYZ, YHM, and YXU all nearby that have service from Edmonton.

I'm a little bit skeptical of YKF's growth opportunities. So far it seems that outside of YYZ and YHM, Westjet has been reluctant to offer service between western and eastern markets other than YWG and YYC. As such, I'd expect service to YWG long before YEG.

I'm kind of surprised that there's not more dissatisfaction with Westjet here. Quite frankly, I'm shocked that they didn't start YEG-YOW and -YUL long ago, while I believe AC bumped those routes to double daily if I recall correctly. For all of its initial talk of picking up point-to-point routes, Westjet seems like a more established hub airline than AC does (on the domestic front anyway).
