They also shrunk the cubicles down to small shared work spaces (hoteling style) so there is very little privacy between staff when they are in the building. Managers/divisional directors still have offices but smaller than what before the renovations.

To be fully fair, at its peak MPI had a large cafeteria on one of the floors which always felt somewhat odd with the food court on the second floor. There was also a fairly large server room, yet most servers have shrunk significantly in size over time. There was also a separate staging area for PC repairs. IT operations also had a fairly sizable in-house training environment setup. The customer service was also moved to the public first floor when MPI went to the more secure office setup that lots of organizations run now.
The part I find a little surprising is even back when I briefly worked there almost the entire workforce was in cubicles that offered minimal privacy. So when you call out that there is a reduction in privacy in the new work configuration is very telling.
