If you live in Oliver and drive to or from downtown or Oliver Unity Square your commute is going to be different.
I saw an elderly couple stopping at the light to cross 104 Avenue the other day and I asked them if they were excited that a new LRT line was going to be built right down the middle of the road. They looked at me and laughed and shook their heads in disbelief.
About a quarter of Oliver's residents are over the age of 60 and there are several old age homes within striking distance of the new tramway.

Limiting left-hand turning movements along 104 Ave has been known for awhile (see page 36 on this document)...so this shouldn't come as a surprise. I also believe many of these seniors, especially those with limited mobility, will be happy to take the train back-and-forth.
