I believe the old lines are the of the "permanent lane marking" type that are cut into the top inch or two of the asphalt and then filled. Still no excuse for not repainting lines. Though, they are just now painting Ring Road... in mid-October.
That whole 13th/Lewvan bike lane is so strange. Didn't they put a little lane on the north side of 13th something like 2 years before doing the south side?
My biggest issue with all the "cycling infrastructure" the city works on, is that there is no connection. They did the MUP along south Pasqua that goes north to Hill Ave. and then just... stops. They also used parking blocks instead of pouring an actual curb and after 1 year, it already looks atrocious. I'd rather the city just hold off on this kind of work until they actually figure out a way to make cycling infrastructure work as a transportation method and not just for a leisurely summer bike rides.
