Whole Foods are a small operation in Canada - just 14 stores, seven in BC. They haven't yet opened a store in Alberta, or Montreal. They once indicated an intention of having 40 stores across the country, but that doesn't seem to be the case these days. They seem content to expand very slowly, and to keep the locations they have, despite the scale of some being modest (like Robson Street). None of Amazon's other retail concepts have been introduced into Canada. Perhaps that might change when they have a sizeable established workforce here in their new office locations, but right now they seem to be expanding retail operations in the US, (with some closures as well) but not here.
