Now can we please make the infrastructure on Colony/Portage to be more pedestrian friendly? It shouldn’t take more then 10 seconds to cross an intersection in an inner-city neighbourhood but that intersection the size of a Basketball court makes it take 25-30 seconds just to cross the street. Extending that bike lane on Memorial to Portage hopefully is a part of the redevelopment.
I believe part of the City's contribution is making improvements to the immediate area around it. Better pedestrian experience seems very likely.
