According to the CTBUH database, pittsburgh has demolished two pre-war towers over 300' tall.
and sadly, both of them looked to be quite nice.

First National Bank Building - 387' - built 1912 - demolished 1970
2.
Farmers Bank Building - 344' - built 1902 - demolished 1997
