I answered this previously but they only marginally improved in GTA ridings, and they've been shut out of Vancouver entirely if the Richmond ridings hold. Given the candidates that the Liberals run in Ajax/Pickering/Whitby it says a lot that the CPC can't break into these ridings with their national leader next door.

I get the feeling that a lot of conservatives that moan about results and voting and such haven't visited any of our largest cities for any period of time recently. The cities are
not the same as the towns, and they vote accordingly.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. The CPC can come back with O'Toole if he manages to survive, but he's going to be countered by a pretty strong woman in Freeland (presumably), and I don't think he'll match up all that well. If O'Toole doesn't survive then I don't think any of their suitors are really much better. It would be peak CPC for them to slide in Lewis to go up against Freeland only for Lewis to pull them harder right than they've been in a loooong time. I think we all know how the Poilievre-led CPC fares.
